Time?
Blood?
$$?
Thousands of people have lost their lives and as many as a million have lost EVERYTHING they had, including friends and family members.
But you can help, by making a donation.
See the extended entry for details:
To donate for Hurricane relief, click here or send a check to the address below:
UMCOR
PO Box 9068
New York, NY 10087-9068.
Make checks out to "UMCOR" and mark "UMCOR Advance #982523, Hurricanes 2005 Global" in the memo area to make sure your donation goes to hurricane relief.
You can also donate by phone at 1-800-554-8583.
If you'd rather give goods, rather than money, you can do that too. Unlike other charities, UMCOR also takes supply donations. See here for details on how to make "flood kits", "school kits", and other kits that can be packaged in a box or 5 gallon bucket to help make people's lives a bit easier as they try to recover. Details on how to send supplies this way can be found here.
Let NZ Bear know how much you've given, so he can calculate how much bloggers have given!
