Glowing Electric Sex....

The house where the most Awesome Christmas Movie Ever (tm) was filmed is being turned into a museum.  Like the Bedheaded One, I too hope this will be available in the gift shop, although you can get it online, anyway....

3 heh. One year for Christmas, we sent out Christmas cards with the picture of the boy with his tongue stuck to the pole. I think the inside read, "erry istus" or something similar!

4 There's a little Ralphie in all of us. There's a huge Darrin McGavin in me, but that's what therapy's all about.

6 I always think of the scene where the kid froze his tongue to the pole. "Don' leave me! Don leaf me!" I actually had a lamp like that once, sold it on Ebay of course. (I didn't buy it, got it from a store closing...but I did consider keeping it)

7 My former boyfriend had one of these in his bedroom. He had bought it at an art festival here in Atlanta.

9 I used to love listening to Jean Shepherd on the radio at night, back in my Snot-Nose days...and now you can hear some of his old shows via podcast. I recommend it. As A Christmas Story attests, Shepherd was a hell of a storyteller...
