The camera and I just spent some quality time together. Results are up on Flickr, and are actually public, for the time being....

Nice photos. If you are shooting in sunlight, hard annoying shadows can be reduced with a reflector like these discs

There is a Calumet in or near LA. A stand and support arm are nice, unless you have an assistant to hold it while you yell at him. Don't hesitate to use a flash outside in flat light. It makes a big difference.
Also, Zeiss makes some great stuff, but Cannon has the best digital SLR. Don't get a n SLR unless it is full frame.
