Spring in Chapel Hill
Here are some lovely pictures of the flowers in and around my yard, starting with the blossoms on my blueberry bush (YAY!!! but that's a story for another day, poor bush), lots of Azaleas and a Dogwood. Also, the Princess...
The originals are 2048x1536, so if you would like a larger version of any of them, email me and I'll be happy to send them to you!

And here's the Princess:
First, reproach (Mommy, why do I have to stay on the deck????)

Then a smile (Yay! Let's play!)

Loved the flowers. Princess looks like a very cute dog, is she a type of Spaniel (guessing from the floppy ears)?

Ah, those pictures take me back to the days when I was living down there in North Carolina!
I've also got some
pictures up on my blog this morning, of the trees leafing out up here in Iowa.

Better late than never
As you may remember, I went to Savannah for a conference the first weekend in April. I've finally managed to download some of the photos I took. Click for a bigger picture
Here's the view from our hotel room, complete with container ship:

This is the Savannah convention center, where our convention was held and more famous for hosting the last meeting of the leaders of the G8 nations:

And at night:

Here's an interesting car carrier ship:

and the obligatory shot of flowers in Savannah; Azaleas growing on River St.:

Finally, my favorite shot of the weekend. You might have to look carefully to read the graffito's opinion of the local paper.....

What do you think
Does everybody see the rotating banners?
Just refresh the page and you should get a new banner (there are 5 right now, and the selection is random, just keep clicking)

Nice looking site so far! I shall try trackbacking in a few minutes, when I get around to the very delayed blog entry of my own.
And no, the banners are not rotating.
Why'd you chose Movable Type? What were the pro's and con's you considered?

Those banners are awesome...I'll have to get you to make some for me!!
(although my resolution is 800 x 600 and the tail end of the banner is off my screen)

Oooh, I like this, love the star. Unfortunately I don't see any rotating banners ... does it matter that I'm using Firefox?

Rotating banners are working fine for me with both IE 6 and Firefox.

Yep they work now in Safari. Just had to refresh

Keep up the good work!

There's always a stubborn one in random selections. In this case, after many many refreshes, I put the direct URL to each graphic in turn in the address bar and actually got to the the #3 one.
Oh, yay for the move! And no scrolling text!
Mu Nu is a good choice, even if it is MT.

Yay! Yep, banners lookin' good!
Jay - I've been looking at options other than MT for the past 6 months, and none of them have measured up so far. Lots of things good for one blog, or two or three, but they all fail miserably with 150.
I'm currently investigating Drupal, we'll see how that goes.

Yep, I get the rotating banners. Things are looking good!
And I think you're getting off of Blogger at an opportune moment. These past several days, posting has been veddy buggy over there. I've been trying endlessly this evening to update a recent post on my blog, no luck, GRRRRRRRR!!
